A quick glance at the elevation profile previously generated gave me the general impression that most of the ascent would be on the first half in the moors. The second half, on the coast, would be relatively flat:

As I generated a more detailed road sheet, I realised this wasn't the case at all! There seems to be even more ascent on the coast line:

I have the feeling that the calculated elevation may be slightly over-evaluated along the coast line. But how would it be wrong only on the coast I hear you asking? Because the track follows mostly the top of a swingy cliff edge. Therefore, a small inaccuracy in mapping the route, may induce a lot of extra ascent and descent. This is illustrated hereafter: The actual path (pink) follows the top of the cliff and doesn't cut any contour lines (beige). However, the hand-mapped track (blue) shortcuts a little bit on the top half, and consequently cuts nearly 2 contour lines. That's an extra 20m of ascent to the counter.
